The ‘best is yet to come’, so irrespective of the situation that we are in today, we all are welcoming the new year in our own sweet ways.

Grace of the morning sun will not diminish nor the hope!

Even at arduous times of Covid-19, we are constructive. We are progressive towards the future and that is a sign, a signal towards the humanity. We are defining a true new year where the hope is magnified and not weakened with the outer occurrences. Even if we are locked at home, scared to meet the best of our friends, let us do something special for us and our loved ones this year.

Let us bring in life to that small good; the creativity that is secretly hiding within us:

Making a fruit punch that you have always admired but have never tried at home; Trying painting for the first time on a new canvas or changing the color of the door that you always wanted to; Waking up before the sun and saying, “Hello! You are late today”; Having a coffee quietly in the mid of the portico; Saying hello to a friend long forgotten; anything that can either bestow you or the loved one with a “lovely smile”.

Me? I love marble; it (in itself) is a great piece of art. I always wanted to paint on a marble and comprehend how it feels but never got the time and opportunity to do so. Luckily, I found a small left out piece of marble hiding in the toolbox yesterday. I painted 3 lucky bamboo stalks on it as a gift to myself. It really feels different to paint on a marble!

Instead of a brush, I tried creating the bamboo stalks with a blunt knife.

Added small drops of pearls, the positivity that the bamboo stalks exhibit.

And printed my favorite word “Bless” on it. What a blessing!

Its now a statement piece for my reading nook. My kid loved it!
